OUR STORY
Dr. David Post, DVM, and Laura Zanetis Post, Ph.D., are both devoted Airedale Terrier breeders in Tyler, TX, sharing a love of the breed. They have been showing and breeding Airedales since the early 1980’s. They have four adult children. (Airedales are great family dogs.).
She and David live on a ranch raising cattle and Airedales. Texter Terriers has produced numerous champions, won many group wins with multiple dogs, and have had significant wins at specialties including Best of Breed.

They are members of the AKC, Airedale Terrier Club of America, and the Lone Star Airedale Terrier Club.
We are members of the AKC, Airedale Terrier Club of America, Lone Star Airedale Terrier Club, Tyler Kennel Club and the Scottish Terrier Club of America.
David is a veterinarian (DVM from Texas A&M University) and he also has a Master's
degree in genetics. He was a
research scientist for many years
before he went to veterinary
school and he has authored
many scientific papers and other
nonfiction articles.
His interest in Airedales goes back to childhood when his father used to tell stories to him about Airedales who performed amazing feats. When he was 13 years old, he had saved enough money to purchase his first Airedale. He has owned Airedales ever since.
In the eighties, David owned several Airedales, most noted, Ch. Briggsdale's Baby Jane. Jane died prematurely from autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AHA) and this experience fueled David's desire to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine, a decision that he has not regretted.
Laura has a Ph.D. in biochemistry (also from Texas A&M University). She was a
research scientist for many years
with multiple publications to her
credit. While raising children, she
provided
social services to AIDS patients
at a hospital in Houston
(one of her most rewarding
activities), and managed the office of David’s veterinary clinic.
Laura became familiar with Airedales through her relationship with David. She is the primary show groomer and has owner-handled them successfully.
Laura is also award-winning professional artist and member of the Portrait Society of America. In her spare time, she likes to ride cutting horses competitively in Western events.
